Red patina on copper is the most durable patina that can be done on copper. It is a heat-treatment patina where the copper jewellery is heated to temperature and then quenched in cold water. This captures the bold and long-lasting red colour.

Additionally I buff on a thin layer of conservator’s wax to add gloss and protection.

**This patina should avoid soap, water, and chemicals to maintain its dramatic colour.
