Custom Design: Floral Engagement Ring

Custom Design: Floral Engagement Ring

How is a custom engagement ring made? Take a look here:

Design Process:

1) First is the center stone: The client chooses the size and shape of the center stone that they prefer by trying on samples of diamond sizes and shapes. In this project the client chose an Elongated Cushion Cut in a 2.0ct size.

2) Design mockups are made in a variety of styles that the client is interested in. In this project, the client wanted something with floral accents and some small side stones. Here are the design directions that were created to choose from.

3) The chosen design direction is then 3D modelled to include all the settings and side details, for the client approval.

4) The final design details are approved, and the invoice is updated to include the gold and labour needed to produce the ring.

Production:

5) The design is 3D printed and then lost-wax cast in the gold of their choice. In this case, the metal is 18K Yellow Gold.

6) Once is is cast, it is then in the que for polishing and stone setting. This ring required engraving to touch up the extra details on the leaves.

Finished Ring:

7) The ring is done, and it's ready for pick up!
