I wanted to share a story about a recent engagement ring project that highlights my design process.

The client originally reached out to me but initially chose another local jeweler. He returned months later after that process went awry because they couldn't source the specific deep green sapphire he envisioned. Unlike the other jeweler, I start my process with the stone, offering in-person previews of various ethically sourced sapphires before any commitment is made.

We decided to start from scratch, moving away from the previous jeweler's concept to create a fresh, whimsical design with an "elvish" vibe. He selected a stunning 8x6mm deep green Australian sapphire from my existing stock. Having the perfect stone readily available gave him much-needed confidence regarding the timeline after his initial delays.

Over the following weeks, we collaborated closely on design updates and explored several variations until we landed on the perfect final choice. I am happy to share that he proposed as planned during their vacation, and she said yes!
